When you think of a lighthouse, what comes to mind?  Menacing rocky shores?  A salty lighthouse keeper?  A bright shining beacon of light?  We think of it all...plus the mighty ships that are guided to safe passage and refuge through the navigational aid of the light it shines.  

Our Lighthouse coffee is sourced from the Café Femenino Guatemala Program.  The Program began in 2005 when female coffee farmers organized in order to receive fair compensation in Guatemala’s coffee industry. In spite of initial barriers, including an ingrained cultural stigma against women meeting without men, the women have worked tirelessly to grow Café Femenino Guatemala. Lake and River Roasters is proud to support those who offer a guiding light in this world!
